Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the operators of Tafseel (the “service”), based in Cairo, Egypt. By creating an account, signing in, or using the service, you accept these terms.

If you don't agree with anything below, don't use the service. Email hi@tafseel.xyzif a specific clause is a blocker for you and we'll discuss.

Tafseel is a personal-use tool for managing your own job hunt. You can:

• Upload your CV, profile, and any role you're interested in.
• Use the AI tailoring features to rewrite your CV and cover letters for specific job postings.
• Track applications, set follow-up reminders, and use the dashboard and notifications.
• Export your data at any time.

Tafseel is not licensed for:

• Running someone else's job hunt on their behalf without their explicit consent.
• Scraping the job feed for re-distribution or commercial purposes.
• Bulk applying to roles with auto-submitted, identical CVs (this kind of spam-applying hurts everyone, including you).
• Reverse-engineering, redistributing, or rebranding Tafseel itself.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure: don't share your sign-in credentials, use a strong password (or sign in with Google), and let us know at hi@tafseel.xyz if you suspect unauthorised access.

You confirm that the information you provide — name, email, work history, etc. — is accurate. Tafseel can't check that for you, and the tailored CVs that come out of the product reflect what you put in. Misrepresenting yourself on the CV that Tafseel sends to employers is on you, not the tool.

Tafseel uses AI to rewrite your CV and draft cover letters based on the job description you point at. A few things about that:

• The AI is instructed to use only the experience already in your profile and not invent qualifications. It still occasionally rewrites things in unexpected ways. You are expected to review every tailored CV before sending it to an employer.
• You decide what gets submitted. Tafseel doesn't auto-apply on your behalf.
• Any consequence of submitting an inaccurate, misleading, or fabricated CV to an employer is your responsibility, not Tafseel's.

Same applies to cover letters, follow-up emails, interview-prep drafts, and anything else the AI produces. Tafseel is a tool that helps you write faster — it doesn't replace your judgement about what to send.

On the Free plan, you connect Tafseel to your own AI provider (e.g. Ollama Cloud) by pasting an API key. By doing this:

• You confirm the key belongs to you or to an account you're authorised to use.
• You accept the usage costs and limits set by that provider. Tafseel doesn't pay your AI bill on Free.
• You accept your AI provider's own terms and privacy policy. Tafseel passes your CV and the job description to the provider at tailoring time.

When the Pro plan launches, the bundled AI usage is governed by these terms and the AI provider Tafseel chooses on your behalf — you don't need to manage a key.

The Free plan is free. We don't take payment, we don't store payment details, and we don't auto-upgrade you. See /pricing for the current state of plans.

When the Pro plan launches, paid terms will apply: monthly or annual billing, cancellation at any time without further charge, refunds within 14 days of the most recent paid period for any reason. Tafseel does not refund AI provider costs you incurred separately (e.g. Ollama or OpenAI usage on the Free plan).

We aim to keep Tafseel running and accurate. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability — scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Supabase, Vercel, Resend, your AI provider), or unforeseen failures can all interrupt the service.

We will not be liable for any consequences of downtime — including missed job applications, missed interview reminders, or lost opportunity — beyond the limits set in the “Disclaimers and limits” section below.

The Tafseel product — code, design, brand, copy, mock data — belongs to its operators. You can use it freely as a job seeker (that's the whole point); you can't copy, fork, or rebrand it as your own service.

Your content — CVs, applications, notes — belongs to you. By using Tafseel, you grant us permission to store, process, and display your content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you. We don't claim ownership of your CV or anything you write inside Tafseel.

You can delete your account at any time from settings. Deletion removes your profile, applications, tracker, notes, and tied telemetry within 30 days. Email hi@tafseel.xyz for a manual deletion request if anything blocks the in-app flow.

Tafseel may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — for example: spam-applying, scraping the job feed, abusing the AI provider, or harassing the team. We'll try to explain what triggered it and give you a chance to export your data first, unless the violation is severe.

Tafseel is provided “as is.”We don't warrant that the AI output is fit for any particular purpose, that the job feed is complete, that fit scores reflect any objective measure, or that tailoring increases your chance of getting hired. The product is a useful tool; the outcomes depend on you, the role, and a thousand other things outside our control.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tafseel and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. The total liability of Tafseel for any direct damages, in any 12-month period, is capped at the amount you actually paid us during that period — which, on the Free plan, is zero.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute that can't be resolved by talking to us at hi@tafseel.xyz first goes to the competent courts of Cairo, Egypt.

We'll update the “Last updated” date at the top when these terms change. If a change is material — affecting how the product works, what data we collect, or how billing operates — we'll notify signed-in users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect, so you have time to export your data and close the account if you don't agree.
